Point Guards
Isiah Thomas ($10,000) will be facing the Detroit Pistons tonight on national TV. In their last 3 games, Detroit has given up 103 or more points and have had big problems containing opposing guards. Expect Isaiah to continue his dominance tonight.
In yesterday’s game against the Thunder, Kevin Love suffered yet another injury and will rest against Dallas tonight. This heavily increases the value and production of Kyrie Irving ($8,600), who will most likely be the chalky PG1 in tonight’s slate. Keep in mind Dallas is missing its first and second string point guards, so Kyrie should have no problem surpassing his worth.
Now let’s rewind things for a second. I did just mention JJ Barea and Deron Williams will be out for tonight’s game. This means Yogi Ferell will be eat up a ton of minutes starting at the point for Dallas tonight. Last game he played 36 minutes and finished with 25.9 FDP. He will look to continue where he left off from last night as he makes for a fantastic value play for only $3,500.
The White Hot Miami Heat look to extend their winning streak to 8 games tonight as they face off against the worst team in the league, The Brooklyn Nets. Goran Dragic ($7,600) has been doing a great job facilitating the Miami offense and he has tallied up three 40+ games out of his last 5 games. I don’t see the Nets stopping Dragic from having another eye popping game at home so he is definitely worth a sage target for me in tonight’s slate.
A solid leverage pick for tonight’s slate will be Reggie Jackson ($6,600). The Pistons Celtics game is projected to be very high scoring, fast paced game. Jackson will be a safe pick especially for cash games. Continue reading “1/30 NBA Thoughts:” →
