Point Guards

Isiah Thomas ($10,000) will be facing the Detroit Pistons tonight on national TV. In their last 3 games, Detroit has given up 103 or more points and have had big problems containing opposing guards. Expect Isaiah to continue his dominance tonight.

In yesterday’s game against the Thunder, Kevin Love suffered yet another injury and will rest against Dallas tonight. This heavily increases the value and production of Kyrie Irving ($8,600), who will most likely be the chalky PG1 in tonight’s slate. Keep in mind Dallas is missing its first and second string point guards, so Kyrie should have no problem surpassing his worth.

Now let’s rewind things for a second. I did just mention JJ Barea and Deron Williams will be out for tonight’s game. This means Yogi Ferell will be eat up a ton of minutes starting at the point for Dallas tonight. Last game he played 36 minutes and finished with 25.9 FDP. He will look to continue where he left off from last night as he makes for a fantastic value play for only $3,500.

The White Hot Miami Heat look to extend their winning streak to 8 games tonight as they face off against the worst team in the league, The Brooklyn Nets. Goran Dragic ($7,600) has been doing a great job facilitating the Miami offense and he has tallied up three 40+ games out of his last 5 games. I don’t see the Nets stopping Dragic from having another eye popping game at home so he is definitely worth a sage target for me in tonight’s slate.

A solid leverage pick for tonight’s slate will be Reggie Jackson ($6,600). The Pistons Celtics game is projected to be very high scoring, fast paced game. Jackson will be a safe pick especially for cash games.

Shooting Guards:

Two strong value picks for tonight’s slate will come from the Dallas-Cleveland game. Iman Shumpert ($4,100) is starting at shooting guard. With Kevin Love out, everyone else’s value on the Cavs exponentially increases. The next pick is Seth Curry ($4,300). Curry has been on a roll and exploded last game with 43.5 FDP despite sharing the court with fellow sharpshooter Wesley Matthews. He is getting the start again tonight and Dallas will look for a good amount of their points to come from Curry as they will try to compete with the Cavs.

Dion Waiters ($6,300) has been putting up very impressive numbers for the past two weeks. This pick will be pending. If Tyler Johnson is healthy and ready to go. I would lay off Waiters. Johnson will be taking minutes and shots away from Waiters if playing. However, if Tyler Johnson is out again, Waiters will be a solid pick going up against Brooklyn. UPDATE: It looks like Tyler Johnson will be “giving it a go”, so we are gonna move off of Waiters tonight.

At just $100 more, Zach Lavine ($6,400) of Minnesota has put up two straight 35+ FDP games. I wouldn’t expect Lavine to explode for a 50 point performance tonight, but for $6,400, and going against a team that currently has no shooting guards, he is a for sure safe pick for cash games.

Small Forwards:

My Stud-Pick tonight will be LeBron James ($10,500). He is going up against a banged up Dallas team and as you have read earlier, Kevin love is out making LeBron’s value to infinity and beyond. Look for LeBron to fill the stat sheet and lead the Cavs to victory.

I am quite surprised the value of Jay Crowder is at $6,300. His last 3 games, he has put up 35+ FDP and tonight he is going up against a mediocre Detroit defense. Keep in mind Avery Bradley is a GTD. If he is out, Crowder’s value increases even more. Regardless of Bradley’s health. Crodwer will be starting and is a great pick for tonight’s slate.

Power Forwards:

Wow, are we in 2010 again?  Zach Randolph ($6,400) is the highest active Power Forward in tonight’s slate . He is going up against a weak Phoenix team and his last 3 of 5 games he has put up 34+ FDP including a 41.3 point game against Utah, arguably the best defensive team in the league. For a low price of $6,400, Randolph is a for sure safe pick.

We all know Dirk Nowitzki isn’t the all star player he once was. However, he will get the start tonight at the 5 position tonight at a price of only $5,700. Dirk and Barnes are the 2 main weapons for the Mavs offensively right now, and since he’s playing at center without Love, expect him to grab a good amount of rebounds as well.

Gorgui Dieng ($5,800) is the definition of your average priced PF players on FanDuel: one of those players that always seems to be high owned. This is because he consistently scores around the 30 FDP mark ( give or take ) and is priced below $6,000. Tonight he is $5,800 his last 3 games he has scored a minimum of 27 FDP. He’s another safe pick on tonight’s slate going against a pretty bad interior defense that is the Orlando Magic . Expect him to hit around the 30 point mark.

James Johnson ($6,00) has been an essential factor to the Heat’s 7 game winning streak. His last 2 games he put up 31.3 and 41.1 FanDuel point. Now, it’s best to keep in mind that he does seem to benefit the most against weaker defenses and how Whiteside plays throughout the game, so if Whiteside still appears to be injured, you’re gonna see the upside of Johnson tonight. This doesn’t feel like a safe play to me as Miami is slowly gaining back its teammates, but he will still get a good amount of playing time off the bench in a pace-up game as he faces the last place Brooklyn Nets in what could very well be a blowout.

Center:

Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,900) has solidified himself as an elite center in the NBA. Night after night he puts up incredible numbers throughout the stat sheet and should have no problem doing so against a mediocre Orlando team with opposing F/C Nikola Vucevic in the paint. Safely said, KAT is a great great tonight.

The Brooklyn Nets statistically play the worst defense against the center position. Hassan Whiteside has continued his struggles ever since coming back from his eye injury and he did not play well last game against Brooklyn, so I would leave him out of tonight’s slate.

On the other side, Brook Lopez ($7,500) is the Nets most lethal weapon on the court. Look for Brooklyn to use Lopez against a struggling Whiteside in what should be a high paced and fun game to target tonight.

Andre Drummond ($8,000) is always a safe pick. I especially like him tonight going up against the worst defensive rebounding team being the Boston Celtics. He absolutely dominated Whiteside last game, and both Al Horford & Avery Bradley (The team’s best rebounders) are questionable heading into tonight’s matchup. Drummond is coming of a 51.5 FDP game and is only 8k. Expect big numbers from him tonight. UPDATE: Al Horford is ruled out tonight, leaving either Ahmir Johnson or Kelly Olynk being inserted in the lineup. Drummond becomes a must-play because of this. Lock him in.

That’s all for us today, this marks this first collaborated article written on the site. Ideas by @SouthBeach_DFS and editing by @Fanduel_Bomb. Hope this helps you on the quest to make tonight’s perfect lineup!
