I know, I know, I flopped on this call in week one but hear me out, he’s in an even better spot this week. Rookie Will Dissly (who has been the guy), was placed on injured reserve with a torn patella tendon. With Ed Dickson still out, Vannett is a lock to be the go-to TE in this Seattle Seahawks offense which historically produces fantasy relevant numbers. going back to last season, Jimmy Graham had 11o red zone targets which actually led the NFL. This season, QB Rusell Wilson has targeted the TE position on average 7 times per game. Another thing to look into is that Vannett played 83% of the team snaps when Dissly was out in week 4. Doug Baldwin still isn’t 100% and he’s the only other good Wr on this team I’m expecting targets to Vannett. Another thing t to consider is this Seattle O-Line is still dreadful so we can envision a ton of check-downs. Looking into the matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks will likely be playing from behind, making them pass extensively throughout the game. The Rams one weakness this year is actually covering the TE position. This season, they have allowed 28 receptions and 328 yards to the TE position this season. Throw Vannett into a GPP line and see what happens.
