Before we even get into this weeks article, fair warning this is one of the worst weeks for the Waiver Wire. For the most part, our previous Waiver Wire plays should have paid its dividends by now, and with little to no players to strengthen your team this time around, this article won’t nearly be as long as it normally is. With that being said, let’s get straight to it.

Rashaad Penny

Image result for rashaad pennythe clear top waiver pickup of the week, Penny not only out-carried Mike Davis, he definitely outplayed him as well. The rookie rushed it 12 times, racking up 102 yards and a TD in his best performance of his early career. If you haven’t seen the TD, make sure you check it out because it was a very explosive 18 yard run on a read-option with Russell Wilson. This weeks matchup is the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Green Bay Packers. This is the same swiss-cheese defense that allowed 100+ total yards to the ageless wonder Frank Gore last week. Penny should be in store for an even bigger workload as long as Chris Carson remains out.

Anthony Miller

The rookie wideout has been his thing as of late. Not only has he been coming off of the best game of his career, which was an impressive 5/122/1 stat line against the Detroit Lions, but his volume has been pretty consistent over the past month. Miller now has 6+ targets in each of the last 4 games. Having Allen Robinson back will also help Miller matchup with less talented corners in attempts to make it even easier for him going forward. With how good Mitch Trubisky is playing right now, I honestly think Miller could be a solid flex option for the rest of the season.
