Looking back at last weeks Value Play article, we went 2-2. Deshaun Watson and Jaylen Samuels did their things while Justin Jackson surprisingly only had 9 touches, and Chris Godwin had one reception on 10 targets. With that being said, Let’s focus on week 15! one of the last weeks with a full slate and starters not being rested. I got 4 players that are too cheap and should help you with fitting in the other guys necessary. With all that being said, let’s get straight to it!
QB-Derek Carr ($6,800)
Ranked as the QB16 this week, I want to start off by saying I still believe that Carr is a bad real-life QB, but he should be in store for a solid fantasy game this weekend. It’s worth noting that Carr has 607 yards and 5 touchdowns in the last 2 games. He’s averaging a very solid 22 Fanduel points over the past 2 weeks and gets an incredibly juicy matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. As a matter of fact, with both teams having a rather bad defense, it could low key be a high scoring shootout which bodes well for Carr.
RB- Kenneth Dixon ($5,700)
Ranked as the RB25, Dixon has been putting in work since returning 2 weeks ago. on 16 carries, he has 96 total yards and a TD, while Gus Edwards has 37 carries for 149 yards and no TD’s. After his impressive game in week 14, Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh said that Dixon’s role will grow moving forward. With Lamar Jackson also named starter over Joe Flacco, this unit will continue in being a run-first offense. The matchup can’t be ignored either as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have allowed 106+ rushing yards in the last 4 games.
WR- Amari Cooper ($6,600)
Ranked as the WR16 this week, is FanDuel serious? A flat-out pricing error if you ask me! Since he joined the Dallas Cowboys back in week 9, Cooper is currently the WR1 overall in that span. With that being said, Fanduel has him cheaper than 15 other Wr’s this week? that’s crazy. He gets a middle of the pack matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. While the Colts have been great on offense this year, the defense continues to be a problem. They have allowed 8 different WR’s to get 92+ yards this season, which included a huge 10/169/1 game to Deandre Hopkins this season. I bring up the Hopkins stat line because Hopkins and Cooper are similar in my opinion based on their elite route running. Lock him in!
TE- Vernon Davis ($5,300)
Ranked as the TE12, who would have thought I would have an article talking about Carr/Dixon/Cooper/Davis in 2018. Fantasy football is crazy folks. Anyway, Jordan Reed has been ruled out this week with an ankle/foot injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Anytime Reed is out, Davis instantly becomes viable despite being 34 years old. He will have 32-year-old journeyman Josh Johnson throwing him the ball. Johnson had 240 total yards and 2 TD’s against the Giants last week. With the Jaguars having a stout run d, this Redskins team will have to pass it to stay in it, resulting in Davis having a solid game.
