Monday 2/13 Sleepers & Game to Stack

First of all, I’m happy to be writing for Daily Fantasy 305! We’ve assembled a great team that I’m excited to join and help provide some insight. Today, I will be writing about some sleepers I think could be under owned to help you win a GPP or give you a bump in cash if you want to take the risk. Also, I will provide the “Game to Stack” in my opinion. I won’t always be writing about the same topics, so if there are any other topics you’d like me to touch on, please let me know! Let’s get started…

**Disclaimer: These sleepers are players I think can/will perform well and be lower owned than others around their price and position. Some will be riskier than others and some may be more obvious plays than others.** Continue reading “Monday 2/13 Sleepers & Game to Stack”

2/13 NBA Thoughts: Value Plays

Point Guard

At $6200 we have George Hill who has dropped at least 26.7 in his last 4 played games. Tonight he hosts the fast paced clippers in Utah. George Hill’s price has been steadily increasing over the recent games, however he is still a good pick for $6200.

On the other side of this game we have the point guard for the Clippers. Austin Rivers sits at $5700 tonight. The Utah Jazz isn’t the ideal opponent you want to see when choosing your point guard. But Rivers has been consistently hitting value, reaching at least 22.4 in his last 12 of 13 games. Rivers will be a good pick for  cash games. Continue reading “2/13 NBA Thoughts: Value Plays”

NBA Thoughts: Safe Stud Plays

John Wall ($10,800) : The Washington Wizards, the league’s most hottest team, are the favorites tonight heading into Cleveland. John Wall has dropped at least 50 FDP in three of his last five games and tonight, and in a game where a statement should be made, a 50+ FDP game should be no problem for him. In Wall’s 19 games he faced the Cavs, he averages 20.2 ppg, 4.6 rebounds and 9.4 assists. Something noticeable to point out here is that this is his best numbers against any team in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers themselves are one of the worst teams in the league defending the point and in a potential game sans Kyrie Irving, whoever has the misfortune of guarding John Wall will definitely struggle tonight. Wall is a safe target if deciding to spend up at the point tonight, but I would rather use him tournaments than cash games tonight. Continue reading “NBA Thoughts: Safe Stud Plays”

2/2 NBA Thoughts

Point Guard

Only two real studs tonight at the point guard position tonight are Stephen Curry ($9,600) and John Wall ($10,800).

For the past 2 games, it seems like Stephen Curry  has found his touch. He is priced $1,200 less than John Wall and for the past 20 games, Stephen Curry is averaging 45.92 FD points per game compared to John Wall’s 44.39. All of this information makes Curry  my favorite pick at the point guard position tonight. Keep in mind, the Clippers do play decent defense against point guards and the Warriors are playing their second consecutive game tonight. I wouldn’t expect another 60 burger from chef Curry, however I do expect him to continue his hot streak. UPDATE: With Draymond ruled out tonight, this even boosts his value even more by adding an additional CourtIQ usage rate of 3.7%.  Continue reading “2/2 NBA Thoughts”

1/30 NBA Thoughts:

Point Guards

Isiah Thomas ($10,000) will be facing the Detroit Pistons tonight on national TV. In their last 3 games, Detroit has given up 103 or more points and have had big problems containing opposing guards. Expect Isaiah to continue his dominance tonight.

In yesterday’s game against the Thunder, Kevin Love suffered yet another injury and will rest against Dallas tonight. This heavily increases the value and production of Kyrie Irving ($8,600), who will most likely be the chalky PG1 in tonight’s slate. Keep in mind Dallas is missing its first and second string point guards, so Kyrie should have no problem surpassing his worth.

Now let’s rewind things for a second. I did just mention JJ Barea and Deron Williams will be out for tonight’s game. This means Yogi Ferell will be eat up a ton of minutes starting at the point for Dallas tonight. Last game he played 36 minutes and finished with 25.9 FDP. He will look to continue where he left off from last night as he makes for a fantastic value play for only $3,500.

The White Hot Miami Heat look to extend their winning streak to 8 games tonight as they face off against the worst team in the league, The Brooklyn Nets. Goran Dragic ($7,600) has been doing a great job facilitating the Miami offense and he has tallied up three 40+ games out of his last 5 games. I don’t see the Nets stopping Dragic from having another eye popping game at home so he is definitely worth a sage target for me in tonight’s slate.

A solid leverage pick for tonight’s slate will be Reggie Jackson ($6,600). The Pistons Celtics game is projected to be very high scoring, fast paced game. Jackson will be a safe pick especially for cash games. Continue reading “1/30 NBA Thoughts:”

1/27 NBA Thoughts: NBA Stud Edition

LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin love. Even though Cleveland has dropped the last 6 of 8, the big three for this cavaliers team has still been stuffing up the stat sheet. This team is desperate to get back on the winning path and I’m expecting the 3 stars in Cleveland to explode on the weak defense of the Brooklyn Nets.

Now let’s take a look at the man down low for the Nets. Brook Lopez. It seems every big man that goes against the Cavaliers defense puts up a whopping amount of Fanduel points. Lopez is on a hot streak and he is essentially the only player that can give the Nets a chance at taking down Cleveland. Continue reading “1/27 NBA Thoughts: NBA Stud Edition”

NBA Thoughts- 1/25: Stud Edition

You look at tonight’s slate. Your eyes pop at all the stars; LeBron, KD, Harden Antetokounmpo, Cousins, etc.. $60,000 to make a line, so which stars do you pick?

Well let’s start out with the studs for tonight’s slate. The brightest star tonight has to be James Harden. The MVP candidate will face off against a tired Celtics team playing their 2nd consecutive game. So far into the season, Boston has shown that their defensive skill set ranks fair to mediocre. Harden is well rested coming into this game and I expect nothing less than a 50 burger from the beard. Continue reading “NBA Thoughts- 1/25: Stud Edition”
