GPP Talk – 2/14/17

Tonight we have an unattractive 3-game slate sandwiched between an 11-game slate from yesterday and a massive 14-gamer tomorrow.  There are a handful of players tonight that are going to be mega chalky.  I’m going to briefly highlight a couple situations that I think have viable high-upside pivots for GPP play only. Top Fades and Pivots for GPP – 2/8/17

Tonight we have a massive 12-game slate.  There were a lot of Questionable tags coming into the slate that are already starting to be cleared up early in the day, but as always, new players are being listed as Questionable, changing the entire landscape of Continue reading “Top Fades and Pivots for GPP – 2/8/17”

NBA Thoughts: Safe Stud Plays

John Wall ($10,800) : The Washington Wizards, the league’s most hottest team, are the favorites tonight heading into Cleveland. John Wall has dropped at least 50 FDP in three of his last five games and tonight, and in a game where a statement should be made, a 50+ FDP game should be no problem for him. In Wall’s 19 games he faced the Cavs, he averages 20.2 ppg, 4.6 rebounds and 9.4 assists. Something noticeable to point out here is that this is his best numbers against any team in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers themselves are one of the worst teams in the league defending the point and in a potential game sans Kyrie Irving, whoever has the misfortune of guarding John Wall will definitely struggle tonight. Wall is a safe target if deciding to spend up at the point tonight, but I would rather use him tournaments than cash games tonight. Continue reading “NBA Thoughts: Safe Stud Plays”

Top Fades and Pivots – 2/6/17

Hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl last night, which turned into an instant classic.  Now let’s get back to the grind and start a new week of NBA DFS success.  Here are my notes for today’s 11-game slate and top fade/pivot. Continue reading “Top Fades and Pivots – 2/6/17”

Top Fades and Pivots – 2/4/17

Last night was crazy with the late scratch of Jimmy Butler.  I had him in all my FanDuel lineups.  Luckily, he was 40% owned in my 50/50s, which gave me some hope.  I sweat it out and somehow, I managed to squeeze in 50/50 cash lines.  I’m hoping for a more normal night tonight, but already news about Memphis resting guys is breaking as I write this.  Here are my fades and pivots for tonight. 1/27 NBA Sleepers

TJ McConnell ($5,600)

McConnell will be highly overlooked with the plethora of options today. Sergio Rodriguez went down at the end of last month, and since December 30th, TJ has taken over as the starter and has secured his role. In the month of January, he’s quietly averaging 31.7 Fanduel points per game, comfortably above salary-based expectations. Furthermore, he’s in a pace-up matchup vs Houston (4th in pace) with a high over/under at 227.5, the second highest on the slate. Twice this month he’s faced top 5 paced teams in Denver and Brooklyn where he logged 29.4 and 24.6 Fanduel points, respectively. Some may argue the tough matchup with Patrick Beverley, but the Rockets sport a bottom DvP vs point guard’s sitting at 26th in the league in the past 4 weeks, a period Beverley was nearly fully present Continue reading “1/27 NBA Sleepers”

1/27 Slate-Talk: Player Spotlight Edition

After a really ugly 4 game slate last night, it’s slate like these today that makes me motivated to grind out a well-written article. It’s been a while since the last time we have seen a slate this big with 10 games being played the same night, so this excitement is real. For this article, unlike the others, I will be mentioning the 5 plays overall that stand out to me. Enough with the small talk, let’s get down to today’s special Play Spotlight Edition article!
